Saturday, 25 March 1786 (Reading Mercury) William Cripps indicted for breaking into the dwelling house of Frances Maskell, widow, in the parish of Hrwell on 30t May 1785; and stealing therefrom 3 Dowlas shirts (valued at 5/-) and a pair of leather breeches (valued at 7/-) - the property of Richard Maskell; and a linen handkerchief (valued at 2/-) - the property of Frances Maskell.
